Kasey’s care for me was outstanding in every way. She made me comfortable and did not judge. It’s not every hospital visit that someone encounters a nurse like Kasey. Any patient of Kasey will know that nursing is truly her passion, and I told her that. She really does have the heart for taking care of people in their toughest times. Her smile and positive personality lifted my spirit when I needed it the most.

I turned 85 in April and have been taken care of by many nurses throughout my life, but Kasey was exceptional. She made me feel important and made me feel like her care for me was a priority. There is no doubt in my mind that she treats all her patients the same way she treated me. I think that’s the person she truly is.

Kasey was very prompt with my care. She told me, when she greeted me in the morning, to call her for anything and she would come. I did, and her response to my call was prompt every time. Kasey has a heart of pure gold, and I only hope she inspires more nurses to care for Veterans the way she cared for me. 

When I saw her interact with other staff while she was in my room, it was obvious that her skills and caring, positive personality were contagious to everyone she worked with to care for me. I noticed she was a real team player.
