Karen is a patient advocate and a nurse advocate as well. She can deescalate situations and she is always the first to help when a new trauma patient arrives on the unit. Karen exhibits professionalism and has the respect of her staff. She makes a meaningful difference in the TICU by always going above and beyond. Currently, Karen works every weekend shift. She never complains and she is always the first to say, "You guys have done a great job!"
