Kami and Carly cared for one of my patients with fetal anomalies incompatible with life. They demonstrated compassion, kindness, dedication, and patient-centered care throughout the duration of her stay. In a unit that is typically associated with “happy” outcomes, they took a tragic situation and turned it into a healing experience for the patient and her entire family. They represent the true embodiment of a caring nurse and make me proud to work here at Sky Lakes Medical Center. The gratitude I feel for the healing they provided cannot be put into words. From coming in to offer support while not on shift, to purchasing and preparing remembrance pieces for the patient and her family, they both went above and beyond.
