She was a ray of sunshine during a very difficult and trying time. From the moment we met her, she treated us like family. She met me in the waiting room and showed me the way I would need to come during visiting hours. She allowed me to stay without rushing me away at the end of visiting hours. She allowed my heart time to absorb the love through the healing. On my husband's surgery day, she made sure she saw him before his surgery. She joined us with a cheerful heart, jumping and celebrating, and loud, encouraging cheers honoring him and the light we could finally see at the end of the tunnel. She knew he was mentally bogged down by the numerous days of lying flat. She truly allowed her heart to shine when she checked on me multiple times throughout surgery day. She would come and sit with me and talk me through the situation, share kind gestures and hug me with the warmest, most heartfelt hugs. To say she is an angel from God would almost be an understatement.
