Kaitlyn came down to the PICU to see him one last time. She hugged me and cried with me.
In 2021, Kaitlyn became my son's nurse when he was her Hematology patient. Kaitlyn was always very thorough with helping complete forms for his medication and for helping with issues with insurance denials. She helped every step of the way get issues resolved for us and was always pleasant to speak to, whether on the phone or in the office.

In 2025, my son was unfortunately diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer. Between my husband and me, we work 3 jobs, so this means completing FMLA forms for 3 different companies, all with their own requirements for verbiage as to what they need in order to approve FMLA. She not only completed these forms accurately but also followed up to make sure that we didn't need anything else to be completed so that we could take time off work to spend at the hospital.

My sweet son passed away just 7 short weeks after we discovered that his cancer had spread. Kaitlyn came down to the PICU to see him one last time. She hugged me and cried with me. He wasn't just her patient, but she truly cared for him and for our family. After he passed, she came to the family visitation to pay her respects. This was over and above her job requirement. She spent her Friday evening once again loving our family, not because she had to, but because she wanted to.
