The day my mom was discharged, Katelyn helped arrange a going-away party that was such a surprise!
My Mom suffered a cardiac arrest after several medical procedures. From finding out she had cancer to having sepsis and passing out to cardiac arrest to finding ourselves in the ER, ICU, and on the hospital floor multiple times. We were blessed with meeting and receiving care from Katelyn. Her presence brought so much hope, strength, and healing. She was a true gift in being present for my mom's recovery!

With multiple stays, we always looked forward to seeing Katelyn, and with each of her shifts, we watched my mom regain her health. My mom formed a special bond with Katelyn, and so did I. She genuinely cared and nurtured both of us. Katelyn listened, she looked out for my mom, she took extra time to calm her or nurture her. There were times she helped my mom by taking her outside of the hospital on a walk in a wheelchair to get her some fresh air and sunshine, which truly gave her back her will to live! Times were trying, and it was truly one of the most difficult times of my life, watching my mom be so vulnerable and weak. Yet, Katelyn brought light to an incredibly dark situation.

The day my mom was discharged, Katelyn helped arrange a going-away party that was such a surprise! There were balloons, signs, gifts, and so many medical providers cheering for my mom as she left her room and made her way to "going home"! The emotion I felt in so much compassion for my mom was indescribable and tears me up to this day. I will forever be grateful for all that she did for us. I really don't know if I would have made it through that time in our lives as well as I did without her presence. She was so much more than a caregiver; she was a friend, a ray of sunshine, an angel on earth. I don't think I can ever repay her for the goodness and support she provided me and my mom in one of the most difficult times in our lives.

We love you, Katelyn! We will forever consider you a cherished friend! Thank you! Forever and always grateful.
