Kaija Hess, BSN, RN

Our son was admitted for a three-night stay that quickly became much longer. On one of our first day's inpatient we were blessed to have Kaija as his nurse, she was there when we got the cancer diagnosis making the holidays extra challenging.

Through his whole stay, she was thoughtful, caring, and compassionate. Durning this stay, our 4-month-old baby was diagnosed with failure to thrive, cancer and a liver lesion all while we were trying to get to the bottom of what his little body had going on. Kaija was there for us!

Kaija was there for support, a steady resource for me and my husband, and the best nurse and advocate for our little guy. In the end our 3-night stay turned into almost a month. Every shift Kaija was working was one we looked forward to.

Her kindness and compassion made our time in the hospital less scary, and for that we could not thank her enough!

Kaija is an incredibly caring and skilled nurse. Our baby girl was less than one month old and was admitted for two weeks and required many pokes, blood draws, and fasting periods.

Kaija always made sure our daughter was cared for medically and with so much love when parents were at the bedside or away. It is comforting as a parent to leave the bedside knowing our daughter was in the best hands.
