Professor Nakamura is a true role model for the nursing profession. I am so honored to have had her as a clinical instructor for fundamental skills. During those ten weeks, her character, patience, and passion for the profession were infectious and incredibly inspiring.

Professor Nakamura taught us that nursing is a profession of integrity, compassion, and accountability, and it is because of her that I have been able to have such a wonderful experience in the following clinical terms. She is not a “do as I say and not as I do” type of nurse or instructor. She upholds those standards in how she interacts with students and other faculty and has always set a wonderful example of honesty and professionalism.

She went above and beyond to prepare the students in her skills class with the proper tools and mindset for the rest of our nursing career.
