Julie Zhu, a warm, friendly, joyful nurse has been nominated frequently from the patients and their families in her care. This current nomination was from a young 30-year-old patient, with a chronic disorder, hospitalized to have all dental extractions. The patient, sad about her self-image, in pain from extensive dental surgery and afraid of the future processes she will have to undergo to "get her smile back". Julie was the perfect nurse that helped the patient smile again. Julie cared for her patient with a fun-loving, gentle touch and offered an optimistic future for the patient. The patient wrote that Julie "gave me something to smile about". Thank you, Julie, for being a DAISY Nurse.
