Julie was so amazing, and I had the best birthing experience working with her. I had a long, rough, high-risk pregnancy, and being induced would never be my first choice. Luckily, I had Julie as a nurse to be induced with my son at 37 weeks. I had a detailed and specific birth plan that, in my mind, would be annoying to the nurses, and I refused a lot of things that had been fairly standard during my previous birth experiences many years ago. I always thought in the back of my head that the birth plan the patient wanted would be thrown to the side or not taken seriously. Julie paid so much attention to what I wanted and did not want and always spoke up if something didn’t align with my wishes.

My active labor was super short and intense, and I could not have made it through without her hip squeezes and encouragement to push. She was super personable, thoughtful, and caring. I never once felt pressured into doing anything I was not comfortable with and felt so supported by her. I could not have asked for a better nurse to be there during one of the most vulnerable times of my life. Thank you so much, Julie. You are a fantastic nurse
