Stanik-Hutt has been an actively engaged NONPF member since 1996, served on all but one NONPF committee, and served two terms as an at-large member of the NONPF Board (BOD).
Dr. Julie Stanik-Hutt has 30 years of academic experience, including 20 years as NP program director (leadership of 1 population track and oversight of multi-track MSN program). She founded one NP program and developed 2 post-graduate certificates. Stanik-Hutt has been an actively engaged NONPF member since 1996, served on all but one NONPF committee, and served two terms as an at-large member of the NONPF Board (BOD). She’s made sustained contributions to NONPF’s faculty development mission through publications, presentations, and the development of other resources. Her contributions focus on faculty roles, leadership and promotion; curriculum, instruction, fellowships and accreditation; DNP projects; preceptors; mentorship and coaching. She was the founding Chair of the Faculty Institute Committee, which implemented the BOD-developed NP faculty curriculum. During her committee tenure, all the topics included in the BOD curriculum were addressed during the Fall Faculty Conferences. Most were also included in subsequent On-Demand modules. Before leaving the committee, she mentored a committee member to serve as chair.

Dr. Stanik-Hutt has published 35 peer-reviewed and 27 other articles. Many of these publications relate to APRN education, certification, regulation, practice, and outcomes. She also contributed to the development of 8 national policies, scopes, and standards, and NP competency documents. Forty of her 102 national and international presentations address APRN topics, and 45 focus on skills and topics of particular interest to NP faculty. She has served as a CCNE accreditation site visitor since 2006 and shared her expertise on APRN education as a consultant to schools in 16 countries and 9 states.

Dr. Stanik-Hutt has a significant record of mentoring students and colleagues. She is a regular participant in the NONPF Peer Networking sessions. She developed and led 8 group mentoring seminars for clinical track faculty at her college, and provided individual mentorship to 15 faculty. With mentees, she has published 17 articles (8 DNP Projects) and one chapter. Another four mentees have successfully submitted abstracts and been selected to deliver national presentations. Her mentees have also completed leadership programs, been promoted to associate or full professor, been appointed as program directors, and several have been selected for FAANP or FAAN recognition.
