Julie is an experienced nurse with so much to offer the patient and family! Her compassion and care for our mom could not be matched. Julie went above and beyond to keep mom safe and well cared for, espicially the shower time. She kept us informed regarding mom’s needs and provider orders and conversations. She obviously has a great rapport with providers and helps with advocating for patients and families. She is helpful with her fellow staff members and willing to work harder than any employee I’ve seen in our time at the hospital!

We thank Julie for her care, lovely demeanor, laugh, and thoughtfulness throughout our stay! Julie has been at the bedside of our family for many years through life’s experiences. She was on hand when I was born in the Shelby hospital 38 years ago, and again when our children were born over the past 15 years. Just recently, her compassionate and personal care for our 92-year-old grandmother is heartwarming to see. She doesn’t leave till the work is done, and she has such a good worth ethic and bedside manner. Shelby hospital has been very fortunate to have Julie taking care of all of us for most of her 45 year career.
