Julie alerted me immediately when the patient arrived via EMS with concerns for severe injuries due to an MVC. Her identification of the patient's high acuity/instability played a large role in quickly identifying blood in the abdomen and transfer to Methodist. The patient went to the OR with severe abdominal injuries identified. This critically ill patient had a better chance of survival due to Julie’s nursing care!
