I would like to recognize Julie Anne for her extraordinary care and compassion. Julie Anne was an absolute angel during an incredibly difficult time for a family in the LDRP unit. The patient who was in labor was also faced with the urgent situation of her mother being admitted to the ICU. Julie Anne provided exceptional care to this patient over two days, demonstrating unparalleled professionalism and empathy.

As the LDRP patient sat at her mother's bedside in the ICU, she made a heartbreaking request: for everything to be done to ensure she could deliver her son and allow him to be held by his grandmother before her passing. Julie Anne, along with the ICU team, not only addressed the patient’s medical needs but also honored the family's wishes with remarkable kindness, compassion, and dignity in the most challenging circumstances.

Julie Anne went above and beyond, not only providing medical care but also ensuring that the patient was clean and ready to meet her grandson, despite the less-than-ideal circumstances. Throughout the process, she maintained a calm, reassuring presence, providing both emotional and physical support to the family. This moment, as difficult as it was, meant the world to them.

What stands out most is Julie Anne’s unwavering dedication to keeping the patient “stable” until the birth of her grandson. Her commitment to ensuring that the family had this precious time together speaks volumes about her compassion and professionalism. The LDRP team is forever grateful for Julie Anne’s warmth, care, and expertise. She went far beyond what was expected, embodying all the qualities of a DAISY Nurse.
