Julia was the nurse for two day-shifts that Momma was there. She made me and my siblings feel like our Momma was her priority and so were we.
My 90-year-old Momma was admitted and I was making a trip from OH to be with her at that time. When I got there I was devastated by the decline of my Momma in a month. I am a nurse also and knew what was happening and what we were looking forward to. I decided to stay all night with her and the staff was so caring and helpful.

Julia was the nurse for two day-shifts that Momma was there. She made me and my siblings feel like our Momma was her priority and so were we. All along knowing that she had many other patients who had other things going on. Julia really connected with us and cared that we knew we were watching as we were losing our momma slowly. Momma was a little feisty and seemed as if she really liked Julia; she would joke with her at times and even be her stubborn self.

During this time, as the youngest child, it was so hard to realize that my Mom was getting ready to make her journey to heaven and Julia really allowed me to be hands-on with her as much as I could. I want to let her know that I appreciate that because it gave me peace to know that I helped my sweet Momma as much as possible. When Momma wanted me to nap with her in her bed she didn't ask me to not do that. Julia allowed me to spend my time knowing it was precious to us. Julia would have a sense of humor with my brother because that is just how he was dealing with what was happening with our Momma. We would love to let Julia know that she made a huge, huge difference in our stay and our Momma's care.
