Julia Greer, RN

Julia consistently goes above and beyond for her patients. This is one example of how she goes beyond what is asked of her to continuously improve patient care. Julia received an elevated drug level for a patient and started to try to figure out why/how it went from within range to outside of our desired goal range. This is a narrow therapeutic drug, with potential for toxicity when outside of the goal range. When she couldn't find a logical reason, she involved pharmacy, and together we were able to work on a possible 'why' this patient's drug level tripled. Because Julia acted in a timely fashion, the provider was able to hold further doses and prevent a further increase in the drug level. Julia is an excellent example of compassion in nursing, and I'd love to see her recognized for it.
