I would like to nominate Judy Winther for the DAISY Award. Every aspect of her care that she provided was incredible and compassionate, with attention to detail. She was able to assure me that everything was going to be okay. She listened to my concerns and was able to give me factual instructions, and provided me with the confidence that my care was going to be great. Her attention to detail in catching things that would’ve been missed or that didn’t seem right, her kindness and empathy, and positivity were worth the most. Judy Winther is an incredible nurse. She’s incredibly capable, confident, and caring. Although she was not my nurse this time, I remember her from the last time, when she was on my floor last year. I didn’t get a chance to nominate her for anything that time, but now that I have come back, I really wanted to take the time to do so. Not only was her bedside manner super helpful and reassuring, and got my blood pressure down when she would check in on me. Her overall demeanor and kindness are really what helped me heal. It was a very anxious time for me as I was missing out on work, and she was able to persuade me that everything was going to be okay. In all of the times that I have been hospitalized, I have never met anyone like her. That attention to detail is impeccable!!!!! I cannot say enough good things about nurse Judy!!!!
