I was admitted to the Maternity Care Center as Med/Surg overflow. The first night with this nurse, I woke up out of a dead sleep and called for her, as I was experiencing rigors from a high fever. She quickly brought blankets and wrapped me up and held them tightly around me until I started to get warm.

The second night, I was emotionally overwhelmed. The IV antibiotic in my hand had been burning and painful, my head was hurting worse than it ever has and I just wanted to be done with it all. She took a calm approach to figuring out another way to give the meds to me and continually checked to make sure my IV site was not hurting me and that my headache was improving. She was quiet, respectful, and positive and was always advocating to keep things peaceful for me during my stay. I am grateful for her!
