After having an elective surgery, I ended up having a lot of complications and spent a day and night in the CICU. During this visit, I received a chest tube in the ED and was hypotensive due to blood loss. When I arrived in the CICU, my wife and I were assigned to Joy, a nurse whose excellent reputation preceded her. In conjunction with Dr. M, Joy provided me with not only life-saving care, but kindness and professionalism that makes me proud to share her profession.
