I got a call from the front desk that a patient was having difficulty breathing. I looked up at the patient and saw that she was almost 20 weeks pregnant. I notified Mrs Joy Scott (Midwife) about the OB patient and she immediately said she would see her. I got vitals on the patient who had an elevated blood pressure. Mrs. Scott immediately came into the room and started assessing the patient and compassionately listening to her story. Mrs Joy Scott advocated for the patient to be seen in labor & delivery triage. The patient trusted Mrs. Scott to go upstairs for further assessment of her and the pregnancy. Mrs Scott's selflessness for the patient and all her patients, along with her passion, is noticed not only by her co-workers but also by the patients she takes care of. She is fantastic, and we are so thankful she is here helping our clinic.
