Joy truly lives up to her name. In one of the most overwhelming and emotional times of our lives, she brought light, calm, and comfort into our NICU room. Her presence was steady and reassuring, and she cared for us not only with expert skill but with a heart full of compassion. She took the time to explain even the smallest details, never making us feel like our questions or worries were too much. Her ability to blend professionalism with warmth helped ease our fears and allowed us to breathe a little easier. There were moments filled with tears, which she met with patience and understanding, and moments of laughter, which she brought with her gentle spirit and sense of humor. She truly went above and beyond in every circumstance. Joy is clearly gifted at what she does, but what sets her apart is how genuinely she cares. It's not something you can teach; it's something you feel when she walks into the room. She made an incredibly difficult time more bearable, and for that, we are endlessly grateful. We will always thank God for bringing Joy into our lives. She is more than deserving of the DAISY Award and so much more.
