I have never encountered someone who cares so much and gives so much
Josh is currently getting his DNP from the University of Colorado School of Nursing. Josh is a father of 3, works full-time here at Kaiser Permanente as an NP in the home-bound rounding service, is going to school for his DNP and teaching, and still has time to stop and listen. He feels furthering his education will help him be a better provider and will help him help his peers.

I have talked to many of Joshua’s co-workers and have talked to a few patients that he has worked with and the overwhelming message is, “I have never encountered someone who cares so much and gives so much”. Josh has been on a team for 3 years and one of his team members described him as diligent, experienced, uses good judgment, and has a very good work ethic.

To me, and most importantly, Josh never backs away from a request and never says, “it’s not my job”. I have talked to Josh many times and he truly feels it is his job to elevate all nurses to be the best we can be. He has personally helped me explore getting a Master's in Population Health and DNP at the same time. Josh will message me out of the blue to cheer me up and tell me, “it’s all going to be ok”. I love his infectious can-do attitude.

He is finishing up his capstone project on the treatment of UTIs in the elderly and why it is not always the safest course of action and is developing educational materials to go along with this presentation to help educate other providers and nurses.

Whenever I have a question about pathophysiology or need an insightful thought partner even though we are in different departments he always stops to help me figure things out.
