He understands his patients’ emotional/physical pain and builds rapport with them, which improves our overall well-being and fosters a positive outlook for the future.
I would like to nominate Josh Nosel, RN, for the DAISY Award due to his boundless dedication and medical expertise. In every sense, Josh embodies the heart of nursing: compassion, intelligence, integrity, and commitment. He understands his patients’ emotional/physical pain and builds rapport with them, which improves our overall well-being and fosters a positive outlook for the future. He represents the very best of the profession and is deeply deserving of this recognition.
Josh consistently goes above and beyond to ensure I feel valued, respected, and safe. His calm presence, big smile, and empathetic approach bring comfort even in the most challenging times. Josh’s knowledge and skill are exceptional, but it’s the compassion behind them that has truly amazed me. Josh listens deeply, communicates clearly and compassionately with me, and is always there to answer my questions, whether it’s on a workday or a weekend. To Josh, this work isn’t just a job – it’s a calling. Through this calling, he has touched countless lives, leaving behind a legacy of hope and healing that will never be forgotten. This type of humanity cannot be taught, only felt.
For these reasons and so many more, please accept my nomination and strongly consider this real-life hero for the DAISY Award. There are nurses who care for patients – and then there are nurses like Josh who care for souls.
