Joseph J Cipriano, DNP, APN, FNP-BC, AAHIVS
Dr. Joseph Cipriano has consistently demonstrated genuine compassion and respect for both faculty and students. As Dean of the Graduate Program, Dr. Cipriano exemplifies the core values of nursing: integrity, leadership, empathy, and service. He fosters a supportive and inclusive environment, always making himself available to guide, mentor, and advocate for others.
I have also conducted site visits where Dr. Cipriano served as a preceptor, and he consistently demonstrated excellence in mentoring students while showing genuine concern and compassion for every patient under his care. His ability to model professionalism and patient-centered care makes him an outstanding role model for future nurse practitioners.
Beyond his leadership role, I recently witnessed firsthand the extraordinary level of care he provides to his patients as a nurse practitioner. A member of my family was facing a serious illness and was under Dr. Cipriano's care. During this incredibly difficult time, he went above and beyond in every aspect of care delivery.
He not only provided expert, evidence-based clinical management, but also demonstrated deep compassion, attentiveness, and advocacy, which are hallmarks of DAISY award criteria. Dr. Cipriano took the time to listen, to reassure, and to ensure that every decision was made with the patient’s best interests at heart. He communicated clearly and built a trusting therapeutic relationship during a very vulnerable time.
His dedication and commitment made a life-changing difference, significantly impacting both the patient’s outcome and overall experience. I firmly believe that the care he provided played a critical role in saving this young man’s life.
