I'd like to nominate Nurse Joseph Hart for the DAISY Award for the outstanding care he provided to me in the Emergency Department.

From the moment he walked in, he was polite, gentle, and completely nonjudgmental. Something that matters deeply when you're in pain and vulnerable. He moved quickly but never made me feel rushed. He took the time to explain everything I didn't understand in simple, clear terms, and made sure I had everything I needed before I even had to ask.

Even while I was struggling physically and emotionally, he made me laugh and reassured me that I was going to be okay and that the hospital would take good care of me. That sense of calm and kindness helped me feel safe, which is not always easy in the ER.

I believe Joseph Hart exemplifies what compassionate, professional nursing looks like. He absolutely made a difference in my care and in my heart.
