Jorge RN is an exceptional Mental Health Nurse and has received much gratitude from staff and Veterans who benefited from his service. One of the Veterans who is challenging to staff and administration due to his mental health condition wrote this letter about Jorge, RN. 

To whom it may concern, I am S. S., a 100% compensated Veteran (USAF). Nurse Jorge has been truly instrumental in my treatment and mental health stability (emotionally). I am truly thankful for his extreme professionalism, kind generosity, words of wisdom, inspiration, guidance, and love that he displays to the 2West. I had an anger issue that I prayed to God and he took away and replaced it with Godly characteristics (ways). Upon arrival at the unit, Nurse Jorge pulled me to the side and informed me that they did not condone that behavior on this unit and if any issues arose, to come to him. I did, and he has been fair with me and firm, which has certainly helped me grow as a man. He will address all Veterans with their requests in a timely manner and professionalism. He is truly a leader and a top standout among nurses. Nurse Jorge displays all the components needed to be in management. Thanks for hiring excellent staff. God Bless. SS Veteran. 

There are other kudos that Jorge has received, especially for de-escalating Veterans that is in crisis and thus avoiding having to so any therapeutic containment/seclusion/restraints. One such situation that happened 2 weekends ago, his coworker stated, “Thank God for Jorge, he stepped in and took responsibility for the Veterans and verbally de-escalated the situation as some other staff was ready to call the Police, and it was avoided thanks to Jorge.” He serves as a role model, making a difference in the lives of our veterans.
