Because Jordan was so nice to me, I felt less stress during this whole experience.
I checked into the emergency department with an awful migraine. Jordan was so respectful and cared about my thoughts and decisions. Jordan was very apologetic and empathetic. She made sure I knew that I was in control of all decisions made and that I did not need to feel pressured. She was very gentle and talked in a way that was calm and friendly. She made me feel like I was cared for, instead of making me feel like just any other patient. She knew that the right thing was letting me be in charge of decisions that affect my health, and she didn’t make it seem like she was only there to do a job. She made me feel like she cared about my well-being. Nurses like her deserve the world. Jordan’s empathy and positive attitude made my experience better.
Because Jordan was so nice to me, I felt less stress during this whole experience. Feeling like you are cared about and not just another patient to keep them busy is so important. Going to the ER is not something anyone wants to do, and having someone be kind to you makes all the difference. When I asked for crackers, she made sure to grab them and also brought me water and ginger ale. It was so thoughtful, and I was so appreciative of that.
