I recently had my third cardioversion and was feeling nervous and anxious. Joi was incredibly kind, comforting, and informative throughout the entire experience. Her deep knowledge and ability to clearly explain what was happening helped ease my worries, and she answered all my questions with genuine compassion. Joi, along with the team, got my IV in quickly—something I had been dreading due to past experiences with multiple sticks and pain. Remarkably, I didn’t feel a thing. I truly believe it was Joi’s calm demeanor and constant encouragement that helped me get through it. Every interaction I had with Joi was pleasant and reassuring. The entire Heart Center team was professional and kind, which made a significant difference in putting my mind at ease. Joi is a shining example of what a nurse should be. Her presence and teamwork reflect the very best of Norton Clark Hospital. She is truly deserving of the DAISY Award.
