What was a heartbreaking situation was made just that much better by the care and compassion of Johannah.
Earlier this year, my husband and I ended up in the ER with me as the patient. At around 7 weeks pregnant, I began having vaginal bleeding and was in the early stages of a miscarriage. While at the time, it was not clear what the outcome would be, I felt a sense that we had lost the baby.

While the ER was not where I wanted to spend those six to eight hours of emotional time, Johannah took the time to really see me as a human in those tough moments.
She made a conscious effort to slow down and give me space in conversation to express my feelings and just be in the midst of the heartbreak of the situation.

By being present and asking how I was doing, she not only helped me to start to process the impending loss but also helped me to feel seen. What was a heartbreaking situation was made just that much better by the care and compassion of Johannah. Her heartfelt empathy that day made a very tough day survivable and left a lasting impression.
