Jody went out of her way to encourage me on days when it felt like I was not making any progress.
I was hospitalized with Covid after not responding to the first round of medication. My wife could not visit and I felt alone not knowing if I would leave the hospital alive. I hadn’t slept in 3-4 days and my nurse angel, Jody, entered my room and assessed my condition, and asked a lot of questions making sure I understood everything. Before she left she asked if I needed anything else to get more comfortable. I told her I could use a fluffy pillow since mine had gone flat. She returned within 15 minutes with three fluffy pillows and placed them under me so I could prone in a comfortable manner. I immediately fell asleep and woke up refreshed after not sleeping at all for many days. When I awoke, Jody was in my room checking my vitals. This was just the start of many days and nights of her going above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed in order for a successful recovery. She also went out of her way to encourage me on days when it felt like I was not making any progress. Words cannot express the impact this angel nurse had on me and my recovery
