Miss Jodi helped us through a very tough labor. We had a lot against us as I was trying for a V-BAC, and my son was also at risk because he had a two-vessel cord. He had to be monitored continually, and he kept coming off the monitor. But Jodi was dedicated to making sure he was on the monitor and kept encouraging me. She never seemed upset with how many times I went to the restroom, which would cause her to have to readjust everything. She was encouraging to me as I went through the different stages and was discouraged that things were not progressing as well as I wanted, but she was there to help me through the process!

This is my sixth baby, and I’ve met a lot of nurses, but Jodi shone bright as one of the best. You could see that she genuinely cared. Even though my case was a lot to handle, she met the challenge with compassion and a desire to see me succeed. After a particularly trying hour, she kept adjusting everything and helping us; it was exhausting for all of us. Her one concern was that she wanted to make me more comfortable.

I truly appreciate everything she did and will consider her a blessing to have had with me as I went through that experience. I did not get the V-BAC I was looking for, but I could not have a better nurse to help me try. My baby and I are both safely on the other side of birth, and I know that the next mama who gets Jodi will be greatly blessed as well!
