I would like to nominate Joan Bishop for the DAISY Award in recognition of her uplifting spirit and thoughtful actions following our recent downtime. After the event was over, Joan took the time to create and post signs of encouragement throughout the units and on the managers' office doors. Her words of support were a much-needed boost and served as a reminder of the strength, teamwork, and resilience we all showed during that challenging time. In true Joan fashion, she also added a bit of humor that brought smiles to everyone's faces. A new motto quickly caught on: "Living the Dream." While slightly sarcastic, it became a shared inside joke that helped lighten the mood and brought some laughter to the unit-a perfect example of how humor can connect and comfort us. Joan's kind gesture helped recognize the hard work and stress everyone endured, and her encouragement played a big part in lifting team morale.
