JJ is exceptional! She was not only extremely caring and compassionate, but she was also always available. No matter if it was a routine medicine or a response to a call bell, JJ was always eager to please or answer questions. Other nurses made it clear regarding nurses' and technicians’ responsibilities, but JJ was always available to do any task. It was not only how she helped – it was her cheerful attitude! JJ was interested in my case, but expressed interest in my family, profession, and interests. She shared information about her twin 5-year-old boys and family. She made my stay at Shady Grove meaningful, and she was able to explain or seek explanations regarding questions and/or procedures. JJ thoroughly explained procedures and medications. She gave us largely printed, color-coded cards that explained medication in great detail. She explained a chart in the room to explain how each patient will be checked and monitored every hour, but will not be disturbed if sleeping. JJ was visible, friendly, always cheerful, and very professional. I think she should star in a documentary on what the perfect nurse is! She is an extraordinary person! Thank you.
