Her ability to recognize the severity of the situation, act decisively, and confidently manage the patient's needs was truly impressive.
I had the pleasure of a nursing student who is graduating from nursing school. I loved having her and seeing how amazing she is going to be. Thank you very much for all your help, kindness, caring, and support. You will make one amazing nurse. Congratulations to you, so proud of you. I can't express how great you are going to be! She was very kind and sweet. She is very focused on her training and thorough. She answered all my questions. Hope nursing school goes quickly so you can get out there and continue your patient care. You are rocking it. Best of luck to you. You are going to be an amazing nurse!

I would like to nominate Jillian for a DAISY Award in recognition of her exceptional clinical knowledge, confidence, and composure during a particularly challenging patient situation. She recently cared for a patient experiencing severe alcohol withdrawal that ultimately required transfer to a higher level of care. Her ability to recognize the severity of the situation, act decisively, and confidently manage the patient's needs was truly impressive. In fact, her professionalism and calm demeanor were so seamless that one might not have realized how complex the situation was unless she had shared it herself. Additionally, she managed another patient this week, who was experiencing complications related to alcohol withdrawal.

Throughout both cases, her clinical skill, critical thinking, and steady presence stood out to the entire team. These were not easy circumstances, yet she handled them with such poise that she made a very difficult week look effortless. Her dedication to patient care, her ability to remain calm under pressure, and her strong clinical judgment make her an invaluable member of the team. She has demonstrated tremendous growth and professionalism, and it is clear she will continue to excel here at APD. While these situations were unfortunate in their severity, her response exemplified the kind of compassionate, skilled nursing care that the DAISY Award seeks to recognize.
