I have been on this cancer journey for almost a year. Throughout this ordeal, Jewel is my shining star and rock. She is always smiling (even through her mask) and is patient and understanding. She is personable and oh-so caring. She makes bad situations, better. Over the past year, we have got to know her not just as our nurse but as a person and it has made all the difference. When she comes out to call me back she brightens my day. When after a procedure she is there to help put back on bandages and bags. She does everything without any hesitation or disdain. She is respectful and I love seeing Jewel as my nurse. She makes the entire MD Anderson feel more compassionate and personable (where the doctors just can’t). She is quick with responses on MyChart and has made my entire experience here better. She is a great nurse and deserves to be recognized and respected as the best nurse I’ve ever known. If this in any way can thank her for her service it still wouldn’t be enough.
