Recognizing the urgency, he notified the Chemo team of the patient’s condition and with support from the team, proactively contacted the ER, provided a concise report using TAMC SBAR communication tool, and secured a bed for the immunosuppressed patient. This action demonstrated his understanding of the patient’s condition and his commitment to patient safety and well-being, preventing a potentially harmful wait in the ER waiting room.
