Jessy is truly concerned and deeply cares for her patients. My wife and I were so grateful for having her watch over and care for me during the night.
Jessy was my Night care nurse; she possesses a unique and special way of treating her patients. Jessy has a way of conveying her concern for you while performing her task. While giving my injections, she would always take time to allow me to prepare myself. She has a jovial nature and has the uncanny ability to cause a smile or laughter. I've been with other nurses who have not. She always enters the room with the same friendly demeanor. Her continued upbeat attitude is infectious; she brings lively intangibles, like making you feel relaxed and comfortable. Her joyful personality is perfect for nursing. Jessy is truly concerned and deeply cares for her patients. My wife and I were so grateful for having her watch over and care for me during the night.
During my stay, I was moved to another room, and an elderly man was staying in bed 2. He was disoriented and suffering from Pancreatic cancer, and he was being quite boisterous. Jessy, who was caring for him, also came in and began conversing with him as if he were a family member. He hadn't said much of anything, except to mumble and moan. He spoke with her and she with him, we were amazed by the difference in his behavior. He knew she was there! He knew she cared! And he responded accordingly. Jessy is a wonderful nurse, and like the man in bed 2, I also felt her specialness and her ability to spread happiness while in a non-ideal situation. She went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. She even got me a cup of tea. NYU should be proud to have Jessy on staff. Her professionalism, infused with her Cheerful compassion, is the perfect combination to strengthen and build confidence and hope. Hoag-2 has set a standard in our minds for medical care, and believe us, Jessy is a major part of that sentiment.
