Jessie is one of my fellow coworkers in the Cardiac Cath Lab. We are not on the same On-Call team, but we all rotate nights on call. One night after working 15 hours, we were called back in at midnight. I was calling several staff members, Jessie answered the call and volunteered to come in, on her night off. This was critical for this patient who was not stable. Without her, I would have been in trouble not having a second nurse to partner with. Her adrenaline and mind were fresh, and her experience and expertise in critical care nursing kicked in.
