There are too many stories to choose just one as Jessie displays exceptional, compassionate care EVERY day for her patients. She constantly goes above and beyond for the clinic and for the patients. Jessie displays her dedication by staying late almost every day, picking up extra shifts, and offering to take weekend shifts when there is no coverage. Jessie displays leadership through being flexible with her day-to-day assignments. She is always willing to take on the most challenging teaching situations, and she is constantly looking for ways to grow. Jessie has searched for learning opportunities, such as teaching a pump 101 class before other nurses who have been at the clinic longer by actively seeking learning opportunities. She never says no to assisting her colleagues, even when she has a very busy assignment. Jessie prioritizes working out of the call inbox in Epic, which often goes neglected. She focuses on calling families back who need interpretation - these calls tend to be the hardest to do and take the longest. This is Jessie displaying equitable care. Jessie has so many special relationships with families and will follow up with them to ensure they are coping with their diagnosis and to make sure they feel supported. Jessie was a terrific nurse inpatient and is an exceptional nurse outpatient. She embodies daily what the DAISY Award stands for.
