Jessica went above and beyond with helping me get comfortable... getting me aromatherapy, extra pillows, a heating pad, soft music, and just creating a relaxing and calm environment.

Jessica was my nurse back in March when I stayed in the hospital during the birth of my second baby. Jessica was an amazing nurse to me and treated me with the utmost respect!

The morning of my c-section, I was scheduled to arrive very early in the morning, however, scheduling got delayed. We were completely understanding but also very nervous as we awaited the arrival of our baby. Jessica kept us informed and communicated so well with us and this eased my nerves so much!

We also didn't know or want to know the gender of our baby until birth and each time she came in my room, we would joke or have some fun trying to guess the gender. She made me laugh and smile during a time of being nervous. Throughout my stay, Jessica was so helpful to me. She checked on me very often and was always on top of my pain if needed. She helped me often with breastfeeding and teaching me ways that would keep myself and my baby comfortable. After my babies first bath, she knocked and opened the door and announced, "wait until you see his adorable hair, it's my favorite"...the baby came back with this adorable full head of dirty blonde hair, and he looked so cute and comfy, and I felt like she really cared for my baby with so much care!

I felt like the way Jessica treated us made us feel like we weren't just her everyday patient but someone she showed compassion, care, and respect toward with every single interaction. Her calm demeanor and sweet personality just brightens a room! On my last day, I had some issues and discomfort. Jessica was amazing to say the least! She went above and beyond with helping me get comfortable... getting me aromatherapy, extra pillows, a heating pad, soft music, and just creating a relaxing and calm environment. I also felt embarrassed, but she never once made me feel this way because of the way she treated me and made me feel. She advocated to the doctor for me to get me the medications and things I needed to feel better.

Having Jessica as a nurse made me feel safe as she was always so thorough in my checks! She truly cared and respected me, my husband and even my parents when they came to visit! Jessica probably sees these things she did for me as just her job and doesn't think twice, but I also work in healthcare, and she truly went above and beyond for me! She deserves to win this DAISY Award, and I hope if I am able to have more babies, that she is my nurse again! Thank you for everything, Jessica, from the bottom of my heart!
