She has revamped the work and patient flow, created efficiencies, and grown into a very good leader as well as an accomplished wound care nurse.
I have worked with Jessica for about five years. We knew the day she interviewed she was special. Her attention to detail in the interview was a pleasant surprise compared with others we had previously interviewed. She was organized, asked great questions, and was very knowledgeable regarding wounds and wound care. Needless to say, Jessica did not let us down. Over the years, she has grown immensely. Jessica is now the clinical coordinator of the WCC doing a fabulous job. She has revamped the work and patient flow, created efficiencies, and grown into a very good leader as well as an accomplished wound care nurse. We need not worry about new hires because Jessica works with them directly to train them in all aspects of wound care as well as on our electronic EMR, wound expert. Jessica is also a valued member of the med-surg team, staging, assessing, and treating wounds on patients in the hospital. Most recently, she went into the OR with a surgeon to assess a patient who was too agitated to be treated at the bedside. Jessica's skills are not limited to wound care, she is also a trained HBO tech. I cannot count the number of days/weeks Jessica has worked well into the evening charting to ensure information on the patient was documented properly. I like to look at someone as having a passion for their job and compassion for their patients; Jessica displays both. She is an extremely caring person who cares deeply for her patients.
