Over the next fourteen months, the care I received from Jessica was the same, above and beyond.
I receive an IV infusion every four weeks. I missed a treatment once, and it took months for my body to recover.

I had to move from Virginia to Colorado, and my old and new doctors coordinated my transfer of care. I was nervous about the changes in location, nursing staff (I have hard veins to hit), and general care as I would be their first IVIG patient. Nurse Jessica immediately put me at ease with her friendly nature.

She went over all my medical information with me and thoroughly reviewed my treatment. Jessica had clearly read through my medical record and educated herself on my treatment. Over the next fourteen months, the care I received from Jessica was the same, above and beyond.

She would always make sure my medicine was available on treatment days. The room was always arranged ahead of time with extra “comforts” like blankets, pillows and beverages so that I would be as comfortable as possible for my four hour transfusion. Additionally, while she had other patients to attend to, she would spend time in the room and chat with me when she could. This helped pass the four hours of treatment.

We would share stories about our families, she made it feel like friends enjoying each other's company, while checking to make sure my treatment was progressing properly.

My husband is retiring (30 years of military service), and I was concerned about how and where I would be receiving treatment, leaving active duty status. We are also not sure where we will be retiring to or if we will have access to a military treatment facility. Jessica, along with my Doc, researched my options. Jessica cleared my choice with my insurance and coordinated with the new treatment provider for home administration.

Jessica is an amazing human, and I count myself lucky to have known her.
