My husband, K, was in the ICU for multiple weeks. He came in with a GI hemorrhage and many other problems. We had Jess as our nurse many times during his stay. The consistency of care was nice, and Jess was great. Always updating me on his labs and letting me provide input into his plan (I am an RN myself) She took extra time to give him a full bath even though it was difficult with his lack of movement. She went out of her way to put his long hair up in a bun to help keep it clean and out of the way. If she was not our nurse, she would come check in on me. If we ever rang the call bell, she would come to see what we needed.

In all honesty, she made the unfortunate event more tolerable. I'm sadly months behind in writing this, and my husband is back in the hospital on a different unit. I happened to accidentally run into Jess in the elevator, and I recognized her, and she recognized me! She was nice enough to interact and talk to me for a moment to let me give her an update on how K is doing. She even genuinely expressed concern over just seeing me back in the hospital again. Jess is a fantastic nurse who is also very knowledgeable.
