Jessica was so kind to my son and me during his week-long stay. She was our night nurse twice. The first night after his surgery, she was careful to let him rest as much as possible and took extra care to make sure his vacuum drainage system was set up correctly, even calling in two other nurses to double check. She answered all our questions with patience and was very reassuring. The second night, she wasn't assigned to us, but she could tell I was uneasy with our nursing assignment. Jessica and the charge nurse shifted patients to accommodate us and again, took extraordinary care of my son. I was so comfortable knowing Jessica was with him; I was able to spend my only night away from the hospital. Thank you, Jessica, for recognizing a worried and adoring mom and providing reassurance with such kindness and obvious competence. You are a blessing to this world.
