Sometimes we do not need miracles to live; we only need one heart that truly empathizes with us—and that heart was hers.
From the very first moment I learned about my illness, Jessica was present with her whole heart and never left me during my moments of weakness. When I was afraid of the needle, she would place her words over my pain and tell me, “Trust me.” During the surgery, she was my support and did not let me be afraid. She also helped my mother and held her hand tightly.

She was not just a nurse; she was like a kind, caring older sister. Even though at times I was in pain and would shout at her without realizing it, she was the only one who never felt hurt by what I said. On the contrary, she would tell me, “Say whatever you want.”

Whenever I felt bored or distressed, she would come to me despite having so much work. She is like a butterfly in the way she moves around, supporting everyone. She has an endless drive to give to both children and adults, and her big heart is full of love and safety—someone I deeply missed whenever I came and could not find her or when she was in another unit.

Sometimes we do not need miracles to live; we only need one heart that truly empathizes with us—and that heart was hers.

I thank God for this gift He granted me, and I wish that she achieves everything she hopes for in her life, because she truly deserves the best.
