I started as a new graduate. I was nervous and scared due to the fact that I do not know what I am going to go through as a nurse. From the very first day I started, Jessica has been nothing but supportive through early morning calls because I did not know where to go for my class, to being available emotionally through a lot of very hard times for me. Being on night shift and having hectic mornings was not easy. The unit I started in was Neuro Trauma, and it was definitely a very hard adjustment for me. But if I did not have Jessica by my side, I do not think I’d be able to push through. I moved to Stepdown and helped start it up. One of the people I got to work with again is Jessica, and she has helped tremendously with starting up the unit with all of the new grads, along with setting the foundation for the unit. I have truly seen her as a mother figure that I will never let go of ever. She has been a huge part of my nursing journey, and I cannot thank her enough for all the things that she has done not only for me but for the whole unit. So, thank you, Jessica, for being our anchor for this unit. I love you forever.
