She made such a meaningful difference in my care and set such an amazing precedent for future labor and deliveries.
Jessa was integral to my labor and delivery experience as a first-time mom. Jessa was my nurse during most of my labor and postpartum care. She was super supportive in the birth plan I came in with, advocated for me, and were happy to adjust my plan with me as I went through labor. Living so far from family on the East Coast while my husband is stationed out here, her support gave us the comfort and security that both myself and our baby were in good hands. Jessa helped me so much with breastfeeding as I struggled to feel confident in helping my baby get a good latch and needed to find ways to be comfortable after some initial bad latches. When we came in for our baby’s weigh-in two days after discharge, Jessa was working and helped us come up with a plan to help our baby with her gas and discomfort that had made for some long first nights at home. She made such a meaningful difference in my care and set such an amazing precedent for future labor and deliveries. I hope she gets the recognition she deserves, as her passion for the mother baby unit made a lasting impression on me and my husband.
