She wasn’t just doing a job - she showed up every day with her heart fully in it. You could feel it in the way she moved, the way she spoke, and the way she treated him like he truly mattered.
I want to recognize Nurse Jessa because she cared for my son in a way I’ll never forget. She wasn’t just doing a job - she showed up every day with her heart fully in it. You could feel it in the way she moved, the way she spoke, and the way she treated him like he truly mattered.
Jessa never took shortcuts. She worked quietly but tirelessly - always making sure my son was clean, comfortable, and resting on fresh sheets. That might seem like a small thing to some, but to a parent watching his child in a hospital bed, those little acts of care mean everything. She brought dignity and gentleness into a situation that often felt overwhelming.
There are nights when he would cry out in his sleep, and somehow Jessa is already there by his side before I even have the chance to stand up. She moved with calm urgency, like she just knew what he needed. I never had to ask twice for anything- she was always there, one step ahead, with such quiet strength.
What stood out the most was how much she cared. She didn’t just check monitors or chart numbers. She saw my son as a little boy, not just a patient. She would talk to him, comfort him, and make sure he felt safe. In doing that, she gave me comfort, too. As a parent, you feel helpless in moments like this, but Jessa helped us carry that weight.
There are people in this world who are clearly meant to do what they do. Jessa is one of them. She brings light into dark places, and she gives families something that no chart or machines can: peace of mind, and a sense that their loved one is truly being cared for.
I am deeply grateful to Jessa - for her heart, her hands, her presence, and her compassion. She is a nurse in every sense of the word, and we are so lucky to have her care for my son.
