Jeremy Paine, RN

I am a veteran of the United States Navy, and I suffer from severe PTSD and GERD. I recently found myself having a medical emergency and was too far away from the local VA facility to get there in time.

From the moment he stepped in, Jeremy Paine went above and beyond. He took the time to sit with me, recognized how terrified I was, and literally took me by the hand to assure me everything was going to be okay. He kept me informed every single step of the way and even advocated to try to accommodate me with a private room due to my service background. Before administering anything, he personally showed me every medication and explained the exact dosage.

What stood out most, though, was when he asked me directly about my PTSD and what I was actually experiencing. I have never had a nurse take the time to sit with me on a gurney and address my mental health concerns with such genuine compassion,  showing me that he truly believed me rather than just treating me like a patient number. Jeremy is an extraordinary clinician, and his care made a frightening situation manageable. He deserves the highest recognition possible.
