I arrived at the ER with severe lower-left abdominal pain near my uterus. I already knew I was pregnant from a recent visit to my OBGYN, and the fear I felt walking through those doors is something I’ll never forget. What I also will never forget—and will forever be grateful for—is the incredible care I received.

Jeremy was one of the first people to care for me. I’m an extremely hard patient to start an IV on, which usually causes me a lot of anxiety. But Jeremy approached the task with calm confidence and kindness. He explained everything clearly, listened to my concerns, and got the IV in on the very first try—a small miracle for me. More than that, he kept things light and comforting, using gentle humor and a steady presence to help calm both me and my husband. In a moment filled with fear and uncertainty, Jeremy made us feel like we were in the best possible hands.

A few days later, I had to return to the ER because I wasn’t feeling well. I was nervous walking back into the same place, but seeing Jeremy again brought an incredible sense of relief. He remembered me and once again treated me with the same attentiveness and kindness that had made such a difference the first time. Even though the circumstances were heartbreaking, his presence made the experience feel comforting and even hopeful. He made us feel seen, safe, and supported during one of the darkest times of our lives, and we will never forget him.
